Work-in-Progress -- Restoration: Wrapped Yucca (After Christo)

Oops, sorry for the duplicate post. I was so excited after working in the clay studio yesterday that clay and ceramics were on my mind this morning.

What I really wanted to share is a work in progress. It is a performance piece that is documented with photography. There are 17 photos that I have created a montage/collage to depict the destruction that a fire has made to a favorite local hiking trail. I restored color to one yucca plant by wrapping with fabric and adorning with madri gras beads. I think I have more work to do on this. What do you think?

My Ceramic Arts Portfolio

Do you enjoy the ceramic arts either in creating, viewing, or purchasing? Creating ceramic arts is a passion that I have discovered over the past few years of pursuing a B.F.A. Going to the clay studio and working with mother nature's most basic ingredient, clay, is usually just the tonic I need. It soothes my maladies and gives me a thrill that I have produced something of beauty or utility or both. Today I share my ceramics portfolio of creations from 2010 and 2011.

Artists, have you been wanting to create a website or portfolio site to showcase your art? Below are some resources for finding templates for your needs when creating a WordPress site.

I have created a WordPress site that I'm still working on, Igniting Your Intentions™. I'm most likely going to set a WordPress site up for my art. -- This link will guide you through the process of setting up your website to look like a website instead of a blog. I found this to be a great resource authored by Kim Bruce.

Below are sites where you can either purchase or download free templates specifically geared toward showcasing your art.

Let me know if this resource list is helpful to you.

UPCOMING WORKSHOP: Igniting Your Intentions™focuses on infusing love through your entire life. Details are on my site, Igniting Your Intentions™
