Mary's Fine Art Website Gets a New Look
Sep 8, 2010 -- New Look
A new header banner has been created by incorporating the "Purple Mountains Majesty southwestern landscape painting. The sidebar went away thus streamlining the look. Also, check out the About page as I have added my artist bio and resume. And don't forget to go the Workshops page and register for Wisdom Painting coming up Sep. 19.

Signing Your Art Matters
In preparation to signing the completed painting, Sir Kitty at Home, I did some research on signing my painting. I usually sign it with my symbol and my first name in the lower right hand corner. Last year, I stopped putting the date on my paintings. Here are some good articles I came across:
http://www.artbusiness.com/signart.html
http://painting.about.com/cs/careerdevelopment/a/signpainting.htm
http://blog.art-tistics.com/?p=163
After reading these articles, I will continue signing in the same manner as I have been, my symbol, my first name. In addition, I will sign my full name and add the date completed on the back. And maybe add the title, although, sometimes the title changes.
